STYLESEAL Filter Levels
STYLESEAL filter comes in different strengths to match the level of pollution in your area. The filters have rings that are color-coded to match the Air Quality Index (AQI). Simply choose filters that match the pollution level in your area. For example, if the AQI is orange where you are, use orange filters in your mask.
Even the lower level filters still provide you with plenty of protection. All filters protect you against particulate matter (PM) air pollution. The higher filter levels are more efficient, but also harder to breathe through, so don’t use a higher level than necessary.

Carbon Filters Absorb Gasses
Besides filtering particulate matter (PM), our carbon filters use activated carbon to remove gas-based pollutants from the air. Carbon can absorb a very high amount of pollutants in gas form.
The STYLESEAL 80+, 90+, 95+ and 99+ filters all contain active carbon. If you are in heavy traffic or work with chemicals, we recommend you use carbon filters.
The major gas pollutants include:
- Sulfur dioxide (SO2)
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- Ozone (O3)
- VOCs—Volatile Organic Compounds
The primary source of gases is the burning of fossil fuels in power plants, industrial processes, and motor vehicles.
Nano-Silver Filters Kill Germs
STYLESEAL 80S, 90S, 95S and 99S filters all include a medical grade Nano-silver coating that eliminates bacteria and viruses. Nano-silver can transform protein expression and generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) that damage the DNA of germs and kill them.
Of course, they also protect you from air pollution in the form of particulate matter (PM).
